There are 2 different plans designed to meet healthcare coverage needs—one for individuals and their families, and one for people at or near retirement. Both plans cover healthcare expenses not covered by your provincial healthcare plan.

Enhanced Healthcare for Individuals and Families

• Choose from 5 plan designs with the flexibility to meet your specific needs, including a guaranteed acceptance plan.
• Enhance your plan with any or all of our 4 optional benefits*.
• You (and your spouse, if you apply for couple or family coverage) may be up to age 60 when you apply. You may renew your coverage up to age 65.

Enhanced Healthcare for People Ages 50 and Over

• Choose from 1 of 5 plan designs with various combinations of health, dental and prescription drug benefits.
• Enhance your plan with any of our 4 optional benefits*.
• Plans are designed for long-term use and stability. There is no overall lifetime maximum on the benefits you can receive.
• You’re eligible to apply for coverage if you’re between ages 50 and 70 (or between ages 50 and 75 if you’ve had supplementary health insurance coverage in the past 60 days).
