Solutions Banking: Branchless banking

It’s about meeting your daily banking needs – whether you’re a student, senior or somewhere in between.

Who is this for?

Many Canadians will find a Solutions BankingTM chequing or savings account that works for them. For example, children and teenagers may be drawn to the Get Growing account, which is designed to help people 18 and under learn about the basics of banking.

Meanwhile, young adults looking to save for a new car or home may be interested in the Preferred savings account, which features competitive interest rates that can help make it easier to save for a big purchase. Then there’s the Merit account, which waives self-serve transaction fees for Canadians age 59 and over who maintain a set balance.

How will this help me?

Solutions Banking branchless banking is designed to help Canadians access their chequing and banking accounts at any time and from virtually any location. Clients get access to their accounts by Internet, automated banking machines (ABMs) or through telephone.

They’ll also get to choose from a variety of account types and gain access to a client card that can be used at any National Bank of Canada or THE EXCHANGE Network®1 ABM in Canada.

What else do I need to know?

Merit account

The Solutions Banking Merit account gives Canadians age 59 and over a set number of self-serve transactions for a low monthly fee (and should they maintain a set balance, those fees will be waived). The Merit account also provides clients with 200 standard personalized cheques each year at no cost.*

Get Growing account

Parents looking to help kids age 7 to 17 learn about banking should consider the Get Growing account. It provides young clients with their very own debit card that can be used to make deposits and check account balances.

Preferred savings account

If you’re looking to give your savings a boost, consider the Solutions Banking Preferred savings account. It features competitive interest rates that may make it easier to put money aside for a major purchase.
